For us, reading has been a perfect escape from the day-to-day work and news rotation.

And with more time at home than usual, lots of our customers have been allowing themselves the time to indulge in a good book.

So, let’s make this time count.

Here, we’re looking at our top three books to enjoy during our socially distant time at home.

So, throw on a face mask or grab your rose quartz facial roller and get stuck into one of our current favourites.

The Authenticity Project by Clare Pooley

A novel that captures the lives of a pool of strangers, each living with their own story and struggles, this uplifting novel will keep you busy in lockdown.

Clare Pooley made her name as the writer and blogger of the blog, Mummy Was a Secret Drinker. The blog followed her journey on becoming sober and she published her first novel The Sober Diaries in 2017.

The Authenticity Project unites six strangers though a single notebook. A tale of honesty and truths, the six key characters begin to change their lives through the notion of being a little more honest.

Uplifting and feel-good, this is a read for anyone that fancies getting into a heart-warming tale about the power of connectivity.

Grown Ups by Marian Keyes

With funny bits and heart-breaking intervals, Grown Ups is a novel that promises to pull on your heartstrings.

Marian Keyes is known best for writing easy-read novels about the ups and downs of family life.

Grown Ups details the secrets within a family that make us all human and has us questioning if we are indeed as grown-up as we think. A funny story that involves the truths that come out following a concussion, this is a great Sunday read with lots of unfolding secrets.

Good Vibes Good Life by Vex King

If a novel isn’t your cup of tea, this recommendation will take you in another direction entirely.

Vex King is an author and mind coach, famous for his positive take on life. Having soared to fame through Instagram, King looks at the law of attraction and general kindness as a way to live a more positive and happy life.

A Sunday Times Best Seller, Good Vibes Good Life is one of King’s most popular current reads. The full title, Good Vibes Good Life: How Self-Love Is the Key to Unlocking Your Greatness, the book teaches King’s life learnings on how to be your best self.

Packed with anecdotes about his start to life, the book covers the law of attraction, transforming negatives emotions into positive feelings and learning how to control our reactions. In the hunt for long-lasting happiness, this book is highly recommended for those struggling to find a place of content – in a simple, easy-to-read and inspiring way.
